In this case, the problem was very visible to the trained eye. The drive trolley was stuck in place due to the warping of its tracks, and it looked like the drive chain was badly stretched because of it. We had replacement LiftMaster compatible drive chains in stock, and the trolley tracks just needed some welding, cleaning, and reinforcement. The end result was a working opener and door.
